Jeff Rush just got into Bako today just in time to catch the Open Men Slalom event. We did some mingling with some old friends and then got right to work. We dove some bouys setting up for the evening’s jump tournament. Chris Parrish was owning the ping pong table and Ron Goodman was working the badminton court. Scott Ellis finally called for the tournamet to start and I was elected to jump in the boat for the first half of the tournament. I began to question the legitamacy of this tournament as I am nowhere near qualified to do that job. Come to find out the X stands for “experimental tournament” (scores don’t count).
The desert sun was sinking low as I got out of the boat with still half the tournament to go. I kinda chuckled to myself as Ron flipped on the navigation lights on the boat. It was near 8:00PM and I was the last one jumper off the dock. I was excited when it was my turn to jump. I went 123 on my third jump to tie my personal best.
