THE LATEST
Thanks for stopping by my waterski site. I love this site because it allows me to go back and recall good times, evaluate my skiing progress, and keeps my friends & family in the know. As of late, I have been busy running my new action sports business ventures. I started a surfboard company (that is expanding into more of a lifestyle company) and I have been pursuing my photography, multimedia, and marketing interests as well. Not to mention traveling constantly. I haven’t even had a home for over a year now. Just off my most recent return from Central America I am planning to settle back in San Diego to focus on my entrepreneurial interests. This winter I plan to be making custom surfboards, photographing action water sports, coaching waterskiing, and personally training myself back into top physical shape. I love to keep myself busy pursuing my interests and I can’t think of a better time in my life to do so! If you would like to contact me please feel free to do so at anytime.

WATERSKI BIOGRAPHY
I started waterskiing before I was born or my mother was waterskiing while pregnant with me. I did, however, start at an early age on a pair of old wooden skis that we call the “little rascals.” All the kids in my family learned on the “little rascals.” We would go ever summer to Bass Lake, California, where my family now owns three cabins. When I got a little older my parents bought me a used HO slalom ski which I used until I went to college. All I knew about competitive waterskiing (before college) was that my uncle skied for UCLA back in the 70’s and a family friend gave me a USD Waterski hat. Two competition slalom skis later, and about 10,000 miles of collegiate waterski travels, I gratuated from San Diego State University in December of 2006 with four trips to the Collegiate Nationals ending with a Division II National Championship ring.

In the Winter of 2007 I left behind, yet never to forget, beautiful San Diego. Making my way north to Eugene Oregon where I followed my heart to take on the head coaching position for the newly formed University of Oregon Waterski Team. This opportunity gave me the ability to make a move in the direction of my creativity and follow my passion of coaching and teaching. The Spring season proved to be an affirmation to my purpose of teaching. The team made huge strides meeting 14/15 of the goals we set prior. I learned a great deal from this experience and I am greatful to the individuals who allowed me to have this opportunity.

The Summer of 2007 I put close to 9,000miles on my jeep; devoted to pushing my physical limits within the sport of waterskiing while at the same time coaching along side one of the best waterski coaches in the world. Just like many sports prior, I had put a lot of energy into the sport of waterskiing throughout college. I had accomplished many of my goals but knew I had something more in me. Some unfinished business. This summer proved to be successful in that I reached a level of accomplishment to which I am satisfied. Now ready to move on.

For me, waterskiing is not life. It will always have a place in my heart for it taught me a great deal about myself and about life.
